News 2017

25.2.2018 I'm well aware it is 2018 already. I won't change the year over here quite yet, because my last updates for 2017 are just published, yes, VERY late. Also because there is not much news in 2018 so far. No shows, no puppy plans yet. Just spending time with my family and dogs, enjoying walks in winter wonderland.

After the last updates we have lost someone very important. Adam was in a good shape despite his old age, but his condition went dramatically down during one night, as it might happen to a 14-year-old dog. We had truly no choice but let him go. Sleep well, old man. You will live in your offspring.

Hopefully I will have something to publish later this year. In April - May I will take part in some dog shows, and maybe in July, too. If my plans go well, we will have puppies in August or September. More information after eye exams have been done. It seems that year after year, litter after litter, finding the suitable stud dog is getting more difficult. I don't think my criteria are too high, but I'm not willing to compromise with health, not too much. People are not making this any easier... true information is quite hard to get. Anyway, finally, I'm happy and excited with my plans for next summer. Something old & healthy...something new, something familiar.

14.11.2017 A busy summer and autumn are turning into a winter. Some gardenwork, some showing. No updates, sorry for that. Here are the highlights.

In the end of May we travelled to Lithuania to Baltic Winner show. Got BaltW titles to Armi (Serene Stairway To Heaven) and Nico (Ch Serene Tricks R For Kids), Lt Ch Nico and Iris (Madiroc's She's Somethin For Serene) and Lt & Int Ch to Armi's half brother Wilson (Adunaic Wayfarer's Wings).

In June a couple of shows in Finland. Nice results with Armi (BOB at Kauhajoki and Heinävesi) and Iris (BOS in Alavus in nice competition). Also BOS & CC to Armi's brother Core in Kauhajoki. In July I spent a nice weekend in Oulu, thank you Piia for your hospitality. I had my birthday on Sunday, and girls gave me a nice present as Armi won CACIB in Oulu and Iris finished her Int Ch winning her last CACIB in Piteå, Sweden, where she was with Sanna & Jessica. Thank you girls for showing Iris for me!!

After that a little break again, and back to show rings in September. The youngsters from Peppi's litter sired by Oliver were out with nice results, too. In Hyvinkää I showed a breeder's class which was BIS-4. Thank you Nadja for your help with the group!

In October there was two specialty shows: Club show and the spaniel club specialty with Sara Nordin judging. Sara has grown up with american cockers as her mom Erna-Britt used to breed them. In good competition Armi was best female and BOS finishing her Finnish Championship, too. They had a funny final competition as well: BIS-BOS. Armi ended uo BIS-4.

The next day in Club show we had some nice placings, but most of all a great day with friends and seeing a good entry of beautiful dogs.

At the end of October we drove to Rakvere, Estonia to show our youngsters and Armi, and also a visitor from Denmark, Novak. Both Armi and Novak got their Estonian CC's with BOB and Zirka the princess was BOB-junior in both shows getting jcac. I think she is developing quite nicely. She is out of Ch Serene Dreams R Free sired by Ch Charles Dickens These Serene Days.

I got some lovely news in October as Triscuit's son Pelle, Serene Sunrise Avenue, fnished his Finnish Championship at 11 years of age! Still going strong and keeping his strong topline on the move. What a nice way to finish showing him. Thank you Sirpa for taking such a good care of Pelle, and Kati of showing him. Pelle's litter sister is Armi's grandmom.

In November I went to a little holiday with Armi. First off to Denmark to my friend Lone's, some showing in Denmark and from there to Leipzig Germany to German winner and World Winner shows. No big success, didn't really expect that, but happy with a nice placing (4th) in a big & strong open class with Armi in WDS. From that class came also the World Winner bitch and the winner of res-CACIB. It was so nice to meet all the people, have some truly good time and see soooo many beautiful american cockers. It sure was worth it!!

16.4.2017 We showed Armi and Iris in Imatra Int show with nice results:
best female 3rd Serene Stairway To Heaven "Armi" CAC, res-CACIB
best female 4th Fi & Ee Ch Madiroc's She's Somethin For Serene "Iris"

15.4.2017 Amy was shown by her breeder Tanja at Hivensalmi group speciality, with excellent results::
best female 1st Fabelsfee Rainbow's End At Serene "Amy" CAC, BOS

26.3.2017 Armi, S. Stairway To Heaven, was shown for the first time after junior class in Lahti Int show under Mr Nedim Suta. She showed herself very nicely ending up at best female 2nd with CC and res-CACIB.

Two weeks later, 9.4., we headed to Tallinn with Armi and Amy (Fabelsfee Rainbow's End At Serene). The judge was a spaniel specialist from Romania, Mrs Roxana Liliana Opris. Amy won the junior class gaining the title TlnJW-17 plus the last junior CC which made her Ee JCh as well. Armi was best female and got CACIB and TlnW-17 title. I'm happy!!
