It was winter 2005-06 when Kristi told me she would quit breeding cockers. She said she would only keep the old guys at home. Triscuit's sire Jordy has been one of my favourite dogs. He also sired my Dagney, but unluckily enough Dagney or her puppies won't be used in my breeding program. So I asked Kristi what were her plans with this pretty lady. I was happy to hear she would be available to me. Since she was in good age and health for breeding also, we decided to wait until she comes to season and breed her before her arrival to new home. So she arrived pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful litter of 5 sired by Ch Overoak Rising Son late September 2006. I'm most grateful to Kristi for this opportunity to have Triscuit, and also to Bonnie & Wilson Pike for their help during the way! Thank you so much!
After her puppies Triscuit has been growing her coat back and during 2007 she has attended a few shows. Because of her docked tail she cannot unfortunately be shown in Finland but we have taken her to other countries nearby. She finished her Int Ch title in first possible show in Piteå, June 1st 2008. After that I showed her in World Dog Show in Sweden and now she is retired from show rings. We're planning to breed her again later this year. Buff / silver puppies expected.
Talvella 2005-06 Kristi kertoi luopuvansa amerikancockereiden kasvatustyöstä. Hän aikoi pitää kotona vain kolme urostaan, joista kaksi vanhusta. Kuultuani Triscuitin olevan saatavana ilostuin kovasti, olihan Triscuitin isä Jordy eräs suosikkini ja myös Dagneyn isä. Koska Dagney ja lapsensa eivät valitettavasti ole jalostuskäytössä, olisi upeaa saada samaa sukua toinen tyttö tänne. Jordy oli kuollessaan 12-vuotias, terve ja tervesilmäinen ja periytti terveitä jälkeläisiä lukuunottamatta minun "maanantaikappalettani". Päätimme yrittää kahta kärpästä yhdellä iskulla ja astuttaa Triscuitin ennen Suomeen tuloa. Niin Trisu sitten saapui kantavana ja synnytti syyskuun lopulla 2006 hienon pentueen Ch Overoak Rising Sonille.
Pentujen jälkeen Trisulle kasvatettiin turkki takaisin ja jo toukokuussa 2007 Trisu osallistuikin ensimmäiseen näyttelyynsä Riikassa, Latviassa tuloksena hienosti CACIB, sert, Lv Ch, VSP. Typistetyn häntänsä vuoksi Trisu ei valitettavasti päässyt kehiin Suomessa. Kesäkuun alussa Trisu sai viimeisen CACIBin kansainvälistä valionarvoa varten heti ensiyrittämällä ja niin oli tavoite saavutettu. Viimeisen esiintymisensä näyttelykehissä Trisu teki kunniakkaasti maailmannäyttelyssä Tukholmassa, jossa valioluokassa esitettiin peräti 24 narttua. Loppuvuodesta Trisu suunnittelee perheenlisäystä.
Luonteeltaan tämä rouva on oikea kullanmuru - tyynesti ja arvokkaasti ympäröivään hulinaan suhtautuva, kertakaikkiaan suloinen ylikiltti koira.
