News 2013

2.& 3.11.2013 Tartto, Estonia. I guess this was the third time in a row that me & my friend Heli headed to rainy Tarto in November. Not once have we come back with nothing, and Tartto did not let us down this time either. I had three boys with me, junior Brando, and both Ringo and Oliver. On Saturday yankees and cockers were judged by Fabian Daza from Columbia. Brando won the junior class, got jun-CC, BOB-jun and was even best male 3rd! Oliver had too small head for the judge, but he liked Ringo a lot. In fact he liked him so much, that he gave him not only BOB wit CC & CACIB but later also Group-1!!! Things went too fast for me to understand, when shortly after the group win Antonio di Lorenzo pointed us the 4rd place in BIS competition. Unbelievable!!! Even Brando made the cut in the huge BIS junior competition, but the day had been long and exhausting for our baby boy and he didn't show his best any more.

Heli's cockers had to wait for Sunday for success. The judge was Elfriede Heidecker from Austria. Triplet Karamel "Nelli" was BOS with CC & CACIB, and her sister Lisbeth went best female-3. Mrs Heidecker also chose different dogs in yankees. Oliver, Charles Dickens These Serene Days, was 3rd best male. Brando went BOB-junior again and gained another jun-CC for the weekend. Congrats Maria Malykh for BOB! As a whole, a weekend to remember for sure!! My daughter Kaisa did show a dog for the very first time all the way herself... a sheltie owned by her godmother Sari. They got a very nice critique on Saturday, ending up with words "well presented" <3. Well done, that's a start!

BOB, Group-1 & BIS-4 on Saturday Serene Bring Me The Spring.

17.10.2013 It was time of our traditional, annual Club Show again. The judge this year was Jessica Brickett-Legath, who has lifetime experience with cockers. She was deeply impressed of the quality of Finnish am.cockers. I had a wonderful day.
In puppy class only one of my puppies was able to enter the ring as Simba just had a small accident with his foot the day before the show. . "Minnie", Serene Vanilla Ice Dream, got some very good experience (I guess she's never been even trained before LOL) and ended up as BIS-3-puppy. Big thanks to her owners Marianne & Jarmo Mölsä for taking care of this sweetie and for participating our show, it was such a pleasure to meet you all!

In black males and the tough open class competition fifth place was awarded to our Oliver, Charles Dickens These Serene Days.

In ascob males' open class it was also many high quality dogs. Our litter brothers gained double victory as Ecco, S. Suddenly It's Spring, won the class and bro Ringo, S. Bring Me The Spring, went second right after him. Thank you Terhi for handling Ecco!

But the big surprise was to come. At the tender age of 9 months and one week our youngster "Brando", Very Vigie I'm What I'm hit the jackpot by winning best black male over several top winning champions. Not only that but he also ended up BIS-3 and Best Of Opposite to BIS!! I'm simply on cloud nine!!

Photo Marja Valkeeniemi, thank you!!

Our grand old man Adam, Ch KrisMyth Punch Adams, did a comeback in cut down class with Sanna on his lead. He sure enjoyed, and was judge's choice for Best In Show Cut Down!! Big thanks go to Laura Pitkänen for giving him a loving home <3.

When looking at the pics, I noticed we mainly had boys to show this year. So I'll have to work in order to get some girls, too. Thank you everyone involved and first of all, the judge Jessica Brickett-Legath for liking my dogs and for your nice comments!!

2. & 3.8.2013 I made a long trip with an old friend of mine, Niina Wessman, to Druskininkai, Lithuania, where two Int shows were held. We had a fabulous journey in all aspects: both the company and the results were simply great. The first show was held on Friday. Niina's spanish water dog Maire (Zorrazo Fairytale) was BOS getting both CAC and CACIB which make her Lt Ch and C.I.B. Next ones to enter the ring were american cockers who were judged by a breeder-judge Linda Volarikova. This trip was exceptional also because I only had one own dog with me (we had also entered Sunny but her co-owner Päivi had mated her a couple of weeks earlier and she was afraid of the travel & heat stress during early pregnancy so Sunny did not participate). The one and only was young Ringo, Serene Bring Me The Spring, who gained his first CACIB, CAC and was not only BOB but also Group 2nd!! That was huge from our 15 month old youngster, who hasn't been shown much. After yankees english cockers were judged, and I showed two cockers owned by another friend of mine, Heli Härkälä. Waltteri (Skjervtun's Wanna Be) was BOS with CAC & CACIB and this made the second Lt & Int Ch (C.I.B.) for the day!!! Also Tessa (Triplet Lapis Lazuli) got a class CC, which made her Lt Ch, too.

The second show day was just as hot and sunny like the first one. It's surprising how little sleep you need :). The spanish water dog judge fell in love with Maire, and gave her BOB with words "Moves like a queen". Cockers and yankees were judged by a romanian english cocker breeder. Waltteri was BM-2. 9-year-old Tessa was already a bit tired from the long trip and heat and she became second in her class after a pretty red russian bitch. In yankees Ringo did it again: second CACIB, BOB and even Group 2nd!! Thank you judge Roxana Liliana Opris!

p.s. Salsa has moved to her new home and so we don't have puppies at the moment. Tilli keeps us waiting for her season...

26.6.2013 Hot hot hot... weather & results!! We had a blood tracking trial with Jade, Serene Silver Dreams. And what did my clever girl do? She napped 1st prize in winners class with score 46 out of 50, those were btw the highest scores of the whole trial!! That makes her a brand new Tracking Champion. Jade is the third am.cocker to achieve this title in the past 10 years. Mama is P.R.O.U.D <3.

3.6.2013 A short visit to Tallinn, Estonia with Mille & Ringo. The results were not so bad: Mille (S. A Million Dreams) BM-3 vaca -> cacib, C.I.B.!!! Ringo (S. Bring Me The Spring) was a class winner in tough junior class and thus EstJV-13, also BM-2 and BOB junior.

25.3.2013 Time is flying, it's spring already, and just my first update this year. Hasn't happened a lot in my doggie world so far. We have taken part only one dog show... Ecco, our junior boy debuted in junior class March 10th under judge Helin Kasuk-Tenson from Estonia. The result was smashing; he went best male with CC, and finally BOS to a beautiful young lady am.cocker. Jade's litter sister Sella was 2nd best female with res-CC.
