Mickey was my first real showdog. He loved to show and it`s a joy to see him flying around the ring. His show career started at 8 months when he went BIS puppy and BOS to BV in Finnish American Cocker Club Specialty in 1993. Since then he won 2 Best In Shows, 3 Group Firsts in International shows (in Finland, in Switzerland and in France) and several Group placements.
Mickey was a clever boy. He knew the basics in obedience (passed the first class) and we did some agility just for fun. He also competed in tracking and won one "certificate" towards the tracking champion title, but was never finished because I didn't have the time.
It is a sad coincidence that he could never be used for breeding. He lived his last years neutered after suffering several painful prostatic infections. He died in a car accident at the age of 12 .
